The game in Kayseri turned into a full 90 minutes in which neither side could seize control. Kayserispor and Fatih Karagümrük SK left the pitch level at 2-2, and although the scoreboard changed twice, neither team managed to hold the upper hand.
The home side avoided a defeat this time after last week’s loss to Galatasaray Espor, but they still fell short of the lift they were hoping for. Even so, the point moved them from 12th to 11th and gave them some breathing room in the congested lower half of the table. Fatih Karagümrük SK, meanwhile, bounced back with a point after their defeat to Samsunspor and, despite dropping to 14th, still added a valuable draw to their tally.
The striking thing about the match was that Kayserispor were vulnerable at the back even while they were scoring. On the Fatih Karagümrük SK side, a low pass count and limited attacking output showed they had less of the ball for long spells. Even so, the visitors stayed in the contest and managed to cling on for a result.
Neither side took the chance to open up a gap with this result. Kayserispor’s battle to stay in touch with the mid-table pack continues, while Fatih Karagümrük SK are still fighting to keep clear of the relegation zone.
