Kayserispor needed just one goal to beat Eyüpspor, then held firm at the back to deny their opponents a chance to equalise. Centre-back Tolga Erdinli scored the winner, with Tahsin Çelik providing the assist.

The stats showed Kayserispor making the most of limited attacking opportunities while keeping things tight defensively. The hosts managed two shots to Eyüpspor’s three, and Kayserispor goalkeeper Gabriele Galli made two saves to keep a clean sheet. Eyüpspor had more of the ball, but couldn’t turn that advantage into a goal. Kayserispor’s defence kept their attacks at bay and made Erdinli’s goal count.

The win gave Kayserispor a third victory in their first four matches of the season. The Yellow-Reds moved up from fifth to fourth on nine points, while Eyüpspor remained on three points and slipped from 13th to 14th. Eyüpspor had lost to Sivasspor and Gaziantep FK before beating Sakaryaspor; Kayserispor came into the match after wins over Konyaspor and İstanbulspor and a defeat to Samsunspor. For Kayserispor, the result was a valuable three points that strengthened their position near the top of the table. For Eyüpspor, it was a reminder of the need to create more in attack.
