An official league
TEFL has been played since 2019. The league has worked officially with the Turkish Esports Federation (TESFED) since 2021, and its contracts with the clubs cover the official use of names and crests. On the pitch stand the esports teams of Süper Lig clubs, in their own shirts.
The league is organised by Ateş Spor Organizasyon, founded in Istanbul in 2018, which also runs the VPG Türkiye leagues.
11-a-side: 22 real players on the pitch
Matches are played in EA SPORTS FC 27 Clubs mode, on console. Every position is a real player; a match puts 22 people on the pitch. Team play, captaincy, squad planning and transfers work exactly as they do in football.
Two seasons are played in each football year. Seasons are named by year and rank: 2026/27 · Season 1.
How e-football is organised in Turkey
E-football in Turkey is played in two different formats. In the 1v1 format one player controls the whole team; it is played in federation and club leagues and in individual tournaments, mostly in Ultimate Team mode. In the 11-a-side format every position on the pitch is a real player and matches are played in Clubs mode.
The Turkish Esports Football League (TEFL) is Turkey's only official league in the 11-a-side format, played in cooperation with TESFED and under contracts with the clubs. Community leagues and tournaments are held in the same format; a team's route into TEFL runs through VPG Türkiye, run by Ateş Spor Organizasyon.
Season calendar
2026/27 · Season 1 kicks off on Tuesday 20 October 2026 and runs for 38 weeks; the final week is 9 February 2027. Matches are played on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The league has 20 clubs; promotion and relegation are decided over two seasons.
Match dates and kick-off times are published in the fixtures, the current table in the standings.
How to join TEFL
Which clubs play in the league is decided by the league management; there is no team application. The only way in as a player is a place in a TEFL club's squad. Squads are built by the clubs' esports departments and their captains.
VPG Türkiye is the league and tournament system where anyone who plays FC 27 Clubs can field a team. The standout teams of its First Division are rewarded with an official club team in TEFL.
Registration runs through the league panel: a player creates a profile and uploads a photo. Squad limits and sanctions are tracked in the panel.
