Although the tempo rose at times in Samsun, it was Kasımpaşa who kept their heads and wrote the story of the night. In a match short on clear chances but full of hard tackles and strong goalkeeping, the visitors took all three points with a single goal.
From the first half onwards, Samsunspor tried to dominate possession, but their attacking play never quite became sharp enough in the final third. Kasımpaşa, meanwhile, stayed organised at the back and waited for their moments in transition. The plan paid off through Bilal Güney’s goal, with Cem Yucel also playing a key part in the move that led to the decisive strike.
One of the standout performers of the match was Kasımpaşa goalkeeper Aziz Izgi. He kept his goal intact with five saves and frustrated Samsunspor’s attempts to fight back. Hakan Mamak also impressed in defence, while the visitors’ resilience never really cracked before the final whistle.
