Konyaspor were rewarded for a patient display against Kocaelispor in TEFL Week 26, edging the game by a single goal. The scoreboard stayed blank for a long time, but the home side had the final say and walked away with all three points.
The result gives Konyaspor a valuable breather in the crowded lower half of the table. Kocaelispor, who were looking for more cutting edge in attack, struggled to break down their opponents’ resistance and left empty-handed.
For Konyaspor, Burak Guler was the standout performer, catching the eye with a display that shaped the match. Gökhan Kantaş also kept a clean sheet and played a major role in the win behind the scenes.
After drawing a blank in their previous match, Kocaelispor once again failed to find the net, underlining their problems in the final third. Konyaspor, meanwhile, showed signs of recovery after a heavy defeat in recent weeks and will take confidence from the result.
