Ramazan Can Özkan shuts out Antalyaspor

In Antalya, the home side enjoyed spells of control, but the decisive factor was Gençlerbirliği’s composure inside the box. Ramazan Can Özkan stood out as the match-winner with seven saves, while Emre Yilmaz’s goal earned the visitors a vital away victory.

Antalyaspor had more of the ball and completed more passes, but could not find the cutting edge it needed. Gençlerbirliği, despite seeing less of the ball, never lost its defensive shape; with 10 tackles and a reassuring display in goal, it managed to protect its lead. The goal created by Ferhat Göztepe was the visitors’ clearest attacking move of the night.

With this result, Gençlerbirliği moved up to 8th place on 12 points, climbing from 9th. Antalyaspor remained 15th and missed another chance to ease the pressure in the lower half of the table. For the home side, the issue was turning dominance into goals; for the visitors, the game plan worked to perfection thanks to their defensive resilience.
