The opening-week TEFL clash between Konyaspor and Trabzonspor was a low-tempo affair, but it came alive in the closing stages as the tension rose. The home side edged it 1-0 thanks to a goal from Çağrı Akalın, while Trabzonspor’s efforts were not enough to alter the scoreline.
For Konyaspor, the decisive moment came when one of their limited attacking openings was turned into a goal. Çağrı Akalın stood out not only for his strike, but also for his influence in open play, emerging as his side’s clearest attacking outlet. Goalkeeper Recep Kuşaklıoğlu also played a key role at the other end, making three saves to keep a clean sheet.
Trabzonspor, meanwhile, could not make their greater share of possession or increased threat count for anything. The visitors lacked the required quality in the final third, while Konyaspor’s defensive discipline and their goalkeeper’s assured display helped decide the outcome. With this result, Konyaspor started the season with a win and finished the opening round near the top of the table.
