Kayserispor produced one of the standout results of the week in Konya, keeping control of both the scoreline and their defensive discipline. The 3-0 win was the reward for an away side that was sharper in attack and much more organised at the back.
For Konyaspor, the biggest problem on the night was a lack of cutting edge. The home side managed just seven shots and never sustained the kind of pressure they needed in the final third. Kayserispor, meanwhile, made their chances count, creating clearer openings even with less of the ball; three goals from 11 shots underlined that difference.
For the visitors, Tommy Kittelsen did more than just get on the scoresheet, also standing out as one of the key links in their play. Goals from Emre Kilicaslan and İsmail Gökberk Gülpınar highlighted Kayserispor’s attacking variety, while Alican Özdemir’s highly effective display helped provide balance in midfield. Emre Eymur’s two saves in goal also played a part in settling the team down.
With this result, Kayserispor moved up from 13th to 10th place. Konyaspor finished the week in 14th and were dragged a little deeper into the congestion near the bottom.
