Battal strike lifts Trabzonspor past Antalyaspor

Trabzonspor got the job done against Antalyaspor with a patient, controlled display. In a match that produced very few chances, the home side claimed all three points through the attack finished by Bahadir Battal.

At the decisive moment of the game, the move created by Nuhcan Açıkgöz proved to be the difference for Trabzonspor. Bahadir Battal stood out both as the man who settled the score and as his side’s most dangerous attacking threat. The defensive structure, kept intact by Onur Berk Tastan’s four saves, did not allow Antalyaspor any route back into the match.

With this result, Trabzonspor dropped from 8th to 9th, but they remain in the hunt. Antalyaspor, meanwhile, once again failed to improve their low output and stayed stuck near the bottom. For the home side, this went down as a valuable win earned without opening the game up too much.
