Ferhat Göztepe brace lifts Gençlerbirliği

Kayseri played host to the contest, and the home side struck first, but Gençlerbirliği handled the key moments better and came away with a 3-1 win. Mustafa Kutay Yıldırım’s goal and Alican Özdemir’s assist were not enough to keep Kayserispor level, while Ferhat Göztepe stole the show for the visitors with a brace.

The numbers do not tell the full story, but a few details stand out. Kayserispor produced more shots, yet Gençlerbirliği goalkeeper Ramazan Can Özkan’s seven saves helped swing the balance. The visitors made the most of their limited chances, and that proved decisive.

For Gençlerbirliği, Emre Yilmaz’s assist and Ferhat Göztepe’s finishing stood out, while Ramazan Can Özkan delivered when it mattered most. The win lifts Gençlerbirliği from 10th to 8th place. Kayserispor, meanwhile, ended the week in the same position.
