Başakşehir’s discipline delivers Antalyaspor scalp

In the 10th week of TEFL, Rams Başaksehir FK produced a near-flawless defensive display to beat Antalyaspor 2-0. The home side gave their opponents very little in the way of chances, stayed well organised in their own box and controlled the tempo for much of the match.

İbrahim Serhan Özuğurlu opened the scoring for Başaksehir with a sharp finish, while Ertuğrul Samet Çiçekmekik doubled the lead. In midfield, Furkan Gözel dictated play and also chipped in with an assist, helping the home side transition forward more cleanly. At the other end, Mustafa Enes Atıcı’s four saves provided crucial security.

Antalyaspor had more of the ball at times but could not turn that into the same level of threat. Mehmet Yiğit Üstün stood out for the visitors with a resilient defensive performance, yet they still struggled to break down Başaksehir’s compact shape. The result gives Rams Başaksehir FK a bit of breathing room near the bottom, while things have become even tougher for Antalyaspor.
