Talha Değirmenci brace powers Kasımpaşa past Antalyaspor

The TEFL clash between Kasımpaşa and Antalyaspor turned into a goal-filled thriller that cranked up the pressure at the bottom of the table. The home side created less going forward, but made far better use of its chances and came away with a 4-2 win.

The clearest storyline of the match was the impact made by players on both sides who had a direct say in the scoreline. Talha Degirmenci led the way for Kasımpaşa with two goals, while Ali Berkay Sari was at the heart of everything with a goal and an assist. Fatih Bozkurt also got on the scoresheet, adding to the home side’s attacking variety. For Antalyaspor, Hüseyin Karaduman’s brace kept the contest alive for long spells, but it was not enough to earn a point.

The numbers backed up a game that was not one-sided, but was won by the more efficient team. Antalyaspor completed more passes, yet Kasımpaşa created more danger with less of the ball. As a result, Kasımpaşa climbed from 16th to 15th, while Antalyaspor slipped from 15th to 16th.

The victory gave Kasımpaşa not just a boost in morale, but also some much-needed breathing room. Antalyaspor, meanwhile, left empty-handed after a night in which their attacking moments were undone by defensive frailties.
