Samsunspor edge Kocaelispor with lone goal

The only goal of the game decided the scoreline in TEFL’s 30th-round fixture, earning Samsunspor all three points away to Kocaelispor. Kocaelispor failed to find the net, while Samsunspor managed the tension of a narrow lead all the way to the final whistle.

Samsunspor’s defensive resilience was the defining feature of the match. Batuhan Alyas kept a clean sheet and played a key role in preserving his side’s advantage. Although Samsunspor converted their attacking threat into just one goal, they maintained their defensive discipline to hold on to a crucial win.

Ali Usta was named the player of the match after an impressive display. A major influence in midfield and at the heart of Samsunspor’s game plan, Usta stood out in the single-goal victory. For Kocaelispor, the expected response after last week’s defeat by Trabzonspor failed to materialise.

The result took Samsunspor to 60 points and strengthened their grip on third place. Kocaelispor remained on 29 points and held on to 11th position. By prioritising defensive solidity, Samsunspor secured another result to keep pace with the teams near the top of the table.
