Fatih Bozkurt stars in seven-goal Antalya thriller

Antalyaspor’s clash with Çaykur Rizespor in round 22 of TEFL turned into a frantic night in which neither defence was given much respite. The home side managed to swing the game their way during the spell when Fatih Bozkurt came to the fore, and they came away with a 4-3 victory.

Fatih Bozkurt was the man who shaped the story of the match. The experienced striker, who finished with two goals and an assist, was Antalyaspor’s sharpest attacking weapon. Enes Karagül’s two assists, Arda Arpacı’s creativity and the contributions of Hüseyin Karaduman and Burak Soylu made the home side’s attacks even more varied. For Çaykur Rizespor, goals from Dilaver Çifçi, Yekta Furkan Gürsoy and Yiğit Öztürk kept the contest alive right until the end.

The statistics also reflected how evenly balanced the game was. Çaykur Rizespor produced more shots and enjoyed slightly more possession, but Antalyaspor goalkeeper Mert Çelik stood firm at key moments with five saves. Burak Kaya and Erkan Yerlikaya each provided an assist for the visitors, while Çaykur Rizespor slipped to fourth place as a result. Antalyaspor remain in the lower reaches of the table, but this win will give them a major boost.
