Çaykur Rizespor made their patient approach count against Kocaelispor, sealing the game with a single goal and closing out the week with a vital three points. The Black Sea side kept hold of third place with the result and stayed firmly in the hunt near the top.
The standout performer was Burak Kaya. Leading the line and driving Rizespor forward, Burak Kaya played a decisive role in their attacking output. At the other end, Doğukan Kemük kept a clean sheet and gave Rizespor’s controlled display real assurance.
Kocaelispor, meanwhile, never found the final touch needed to alter the scoreboard. After last week’s defeat to Gençlerbirliği, the visitors were again unable to find the response they wanted and left empty-handed.
