Berkkan Öztürk hat-trick lifts Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor beat Konyaspor 3-2 in the 16th week of TEFL, with Berkkan Öztürk single-handedly writing the story of the night. Despite the home side creating few chances in attack, their sharpness in front of goal proved decisive in a match that swung on finishing quality.

Konyaspor never let the game drift away, keeping the scoreline alive through goals from Rodrigo Rocha and Oğuz Cengiz. But defensive mistakes ultimately undermined the visitors’ hopes of taking anything from the match. Oğuz Cengiz stood out with a goal and an assist, but Konyaspor’s fighting spirit was not enough to turn into a result.

For Trabzonspor, Berkkan Öztürk was the man who changed the game with a hat-trick. Sezer Doğan’s assist also played its part in that individual masterclass. With this result, Trabzonspor climbed from 12th to 9th and took an important step in their bid to stay in touch with the teams above.

Konyaspor remained in 14th place and missed the chance to pull clear of the congestion near the bottom. Neither side produced many shots over the course of the match, but Trabzonspor made better use of the chances that came their way.
