Trabzonspor and Rizespor share the points

Neither side could find a breakthrough in Trabzon, as Trabzonspor and Çaykur Rizespor played out a 1-1 draw. Neither team looked especially dangerous for long spells, but the players who did find the net provided the game’s most memorable moments.

Kadir Gunduz put Trabzonspor in front, before Erdoğan Dernek levelled matters for Çaykur Rizespor. Burak Kaya was the key man in the visitors’ attacking moves and played a major role in securing a valuable point. Çaykur Rizespor managed to hold on to their place near the top of the table, while Trabzonspor ended the week one position lower.

The statistics also reflected the match’s balanced but low-tempo nature. Trabzonspor completed more passes, but Çaykur Rizespor made more defensive interventions to keep the game alive. The goalkeepers also played their part in helping the visitors take a point home.

Trabzonspor’s bid to bounce back from their defeat to Beşiktaş Esports last time out ended in another draw. Çaykur Rizespor, meanwhile, followed up their emphatic win over Gençlerbirliği by extending their unbeaten run.
