Kasımpaşa controlled the game in every phase against Gençlerbirliği in TEFL Week 4 and came away with a convincing 4-0 win. The home side looked sharp in attack and well organised at the back.
Fatih Bozkurt and Ali Berkay Sari were the standout names on the scoresheet with two goals apiece. Fatih Bozkurt also set up another, while Aleyna Karakoç’s two assists helped Kasımpaşa keep their attacking rhythm flowing. Tahsin Çelik added one assist and also caught the eye with his influence in midfield.
The numbers backed up what was seen on the pitch. Kasımpaşa tested the opposition goal repeatedly with 13 shots, dictated the tempo with 151 passes and cut out Gençlerbirliği’s attacks early with 11 defensive interventions. Gençlerbirliği struggled to make any impact going forward and were only spared a heavier defeat by their goalkeeper’s six saves.
With this result, Kasımpaşa moved up from 16th to 13th place. Gençlerbirliği, meanwhile, dropped from 6th to 9th.
