The curtain-raiser for TEFL’s 19th week was a thriller that never ran short of goals, with Fenerbahçe Espor beating Kayserispor 5-3 to collect all three points. In an eight-goal contest, the home side produced fewer shots but made their chances count, turning the game in their favour with sharper finishing.
Hakan Paçacı was the standout for Fenerbahçe Espor, finishing the night with a goal and two assists as he took centre stage. Carlos Smith’s two assists, along with goals from Galip Türkarslan and Mohamed Fakhreddine, ensured the yellow-and-navy side did not buckle at the key moments. Goalkeeper Eyüp Ramazan Alyaprak also made 10 saves, helping them stay in the game, especially during Kayserispor’s stronger spells.
Kayserispor refused to go away, with Alboran Yelmen leading the way through two goals, while Tommy Kittelsen added a goal and an assist to make his mark in attack. Görkem Göksu Gündüz also chipped in with two assists to keep the visitors dangerous. Even so, Kayserispor’s 15 attempts were not enough to turn the scoreline around.
With this result, Fenerbahçe Espor moved up from sixth to fifth after taking their tally to 41 points. Kayserispor, meanwhile, remained in 12th place.
