Fenerbahçe Espor edge Gaziantep FK in six-goal thriller

In TEFL Week 23, the stage was set for a high-tempo, chance-filled contest, and Fenerbahçe Espor came away with all three points after beating Gaziantep FK 4-2. Both sides had their moments in attack, but the yellow-navy team were sharper when it mattered most in front of goal.

Carlos Smith led the way for Fenerbahçe Espor with a brace, while Saad Moufdi and Mohamed Fakhreddine each made a direct impact on the scoreline with a goal and an assist apiece. For Gaziantep FK, Tunahan Karaman and Baran Öztürkçe found the net, but it was not enough to earn a result. The visitors created more shots than their opponents, yet struggled to close the gaps behind their defence.

The result lifts Fenerbahçe Espor to 41 points and up from sixth to fifth place. Gaziantep FK ended the week on 35 points and slipped from fifth to seventh. Given Fenerbahçe Espor’s inconsistent form in recent weeks, this win was a timely boost to keep them in the race.
