Eyüpspor edge Fatih Karagümrük late

The TEFL clash between Eyüpspor and Fatih Karagümrük SK in week two stayed alive right up to the final whistle. Although the home side had less of the ball at times, they were far more efficient in attack and came away with a 2-1 win.

Durukan İlter was the standout performer for Eyüpspor on the night. With a goal and an assist, İlter carried much of his team’s attacking burden and made the difference going forward. Taylan Özdemir also found the net to make a major contribution to the victory. For Fatih Karagümrük SK, Alp Sarak’s goal kept the match finely balanced for a long time, but it was not enough to earn a point.

The statistics reflected both sides of the contest. Fatih Karagümrük SK completed more passes, but Eyüpspor got more out of fewer attempts. The visitors’ goalkeeper also did his part with one save, yet Eyüpspor’s attacking efficiency was what ultimately told on the scoreboard. With this win, Eyüpspor moved from 10th to 9th place, while Fatih Karagümrük SK remained in 13th.
