Çaykur Rizespor never lost control in their TEFL Week 11 meeting with Gençlerbirliği, cruising to a convincing 4-1 win. Goals from all over the pitch, plus two assists from Burak Kaya, meant the Black Sea side took charge early and never looked back.
Atahan Dönmez was the standout with a brace, while Eren Kütük and Ilyas Karapıçak also got on the scoresheet as Rizespor wrapped up a comfortable victory. Despite six saves from Doğukan Kemük, the pressure on his goal was too much for Gençlerbirliği to withstand, and they were never able to match Rizespor’s sharper, more incisive play.
Gençlerbirliği’s only goal came from Okan Can Görgüli. But the visitors struggled to sustain any threat once they got near the ball, and after the break they lost control of the tempo to Rizespor. The result lifts Çaykur Rizespor to 26 points and up to third place, while Gençlerbirliği remain eighth.
